‘BET ON A STAR’
He was bred to be a world champion cutting horse but after surviving Hurricane Irma, we found the fate of his life was in our hands. He survived the hurricane and then survived the life threatening systemic disease he contracted in a wound from being stranded in water for days. It would take 5 surgeries before we truly could say he was going to survive. His hind leg was amputated at the fetlock and he now wears a prosthetic. However, he is not simply surviving…he is thriving. He became a therapy horse for children with undergoing limb procedures and we look forward to expanding therapy to be available to anyone in need.

At Hopes Dreams and Horses, we believe the healed are the best healers. Our sweet 81 is no exception. We are looking forward to him receiving his third prosthetic and continuing to enjoy life on the farm and meeting more incredible people.
